big ben picture 2 Big Ben Tallest Clock TowerWorld’s largest well-known clock is Big Ben in the Clock Tower, one of the land marks of London city, England. 13 years of hard work resulted in 316 feet high clock tower 150 years ago in 1859. Augustus Pugin was the designer of this excellent clock.  

Big Ben is the bell which rings in the tower beside Palace of Westminster in London. To reach the top one has to climb nearly 330 steps although general public are not allowed. It is the tallest structure with clocks facing all the four directions. One can view the biggest Clock with 2.7 metres hours hand and 4.3 metres minutes hand in 7 metres diameter glass frame.

The brilliant construction technique of this tower pulls the tourists to this place.
