The intense size , complex and colorful landscape make Canyon well known and provide delight to the tourists.

The sources that caused impact is through erosion by water and wind.

The Colarado river carved it as a steep side gullet over six million years and most part of it contained in Grand Canyon National park.

Summer,  mild spring and fall are the best times to visit this site , but most locals feel great time to visit in winters. 

The National Park of Grand Canyon is one of the Earths natural attractions pulling about  millions of  visitors per annum.

Length: 277 miles (446 km)

Width: 4-18 miles(6.4-29 km)

Depth: 1 mile(1.83 km)

Geologically it is important as of the dense ancient rocks that record much of the history of North America are atractively preserved and exposed in canyon walls.

 The Canyon is rich in 1,737 popular vascular plant and 34 mammal species .

 The weather conditios vary according to the heights in the Grand Canyon .

Apart from casual sightseeing , white water rafting , running and hiking are especially famous.

It has luxurious train ,helicopter or small airplanes facility to have a complete view of this site.

Besides Native americans ,Garcia Lopez de Cardenas was the first European from spain who visited Canyon in 1540.

 Hence, we can say planning to visit Grand Canyon is a great pleasure .
