Brooklyn Bridge
Brooklyn Bridge is one of the world famous suspension bridges in the world.It was constructed across the East river in United States.It is present between the city Manhattan of New York and Brooklyn.
It stretches to 5989 feet in length and 85 feet in width carrying various means of transport and also supporting pedestrians.The iron frame work,cables,electrifying lamps,towers,glass panes are of great significance of this. Though initially it was called as New York and Brooklyn bridge as it is connected to these cities later simply called as Brooklyn Bridge.16 years of hard work by many people resulted in the achievement of this cross over structure.
The chief designer of this wonderful East River bridge was “John Augutus Roebling” and opened on 24th May 1883.It is now even serving as a destination for many film shootings.The view of the whole surroundings standing on the bridge is fantastic.
The whole arc as seen from the river is marvelous and impressive.The beauty of the bridge is admired by many tourists and is worth seeing for its brilliant architectural design.
