Stonehenge, one of the most prominent sites of mystery in the world. It is at Wiltshire in Southern England. Many believe that this stone monument was constructed somewhere around 2500 B.C.
This is a human made structure of different size stones.When you visit this site it looks like stones arranged in circular format. These stones were immersed deep into the Earth and some were placed top of them. Blue and sarsen two types of stones were used in its construction. But even today still it is not so clear that who and why they built this stone structure. Different stories are concerned regarding this mysterious monument. For some it was a ritual place of worship for the celestial bodies and for some others it was a burial place. The construction strategy adopted was highly geometrical and mathematical.
