Millau Viaduct : A tallest bridge
It is a thrilling experience to travel from one place to another via bridges. A wide number of bridges with brilliance exhibited by the architectural engineers in construction are present across the world. One such bridge is Millau Viaduct near Millau in France.
It is across the valley of river Tarn in southern. It is considered as the tallest vehicular bridge in the world. In height “it crosses the height of Eiffel Tower” 1125 feet. To facilitate the transport the longest (342 metres) and widest (100 feet) bridge with cables and poles of great height was built. The total length is 2460 metres. It was inaugurated on 14th of December 2004. It is estimated that this weighs totally 290000 metric tons.
An outstanding bridge in the world is Le Viaduc de Millau.
