The Divine Golden Temple
Golden Temple in Amritsar is one of the most visiting and pilgrimage site located India. It also known by names Sri Darbar Sahib or Sri Harmindhir Sahib.

As the temple is coated in gold it is called as Golden Temple.Sikh Guru Arjan Sahib was the main Architect of this temple though Ramdas was the initiator.It was the main idea of this Guri to have a holy place for the Sikhs.The construction was completed in 1601 A.D.
The architecture is a union of Hindu and Muslim styles in a fantastic way with marble floor, gold coating and ornated with valuable stones and attractive interior frame work.The height and spacious area around the temple in a lake is very pleasant.
The main features of this temple are — It is constructed at a lower level at the centre of a holy tank “Amrit Sarovar” or pool of nectar.Contains doors on all the four sides of the temple.Anyone irrespective of age,religion,region and gender can enter the temple.
Many great people like Budha had meditated here.A divine place to meditate.
The view of the temple in early mornings and with lights at night time all around with the golden shadow of the temple in water gives a pleasant view and peace to the visitors filling their hearts with spirituality.
