St. Philomena’s church was built in the honor of St. Philomena in Mysore. It was constructed in the year 1936 and its design was motivated by the cologne cathedral in Germany. A church was built at the same location by the Mummadi Maharaja. The Maharaja of Mysore positioned the foundation pebble of the church on Oct 28, 1933.
